Natural Birth Suite

Women’s Hospital’s Natural Birth Suite is up and running. The Natural Birth Suite is located in room 2220 on Labor and Delivery. This room has a queen size bed and other home-like elements. The Natural Birth Suite is a space that allows women in our community to safely deliver their baby in a home like environment with minimal interventions with access to emergency services and equipment to encourage the best outcomes for both mom and baby. The Natural Birth Suite has had 8 low intervention births since opening this space.  If you have a patient that desires to utilize the Natural Birth Suite please communicate with the L&D core if sending a patient in with a plan of a low intervention birth. The patient would be triaged in our triage area prior to being admitted into the Natural Birth Suite for an assessment to assure active labor and that they meet low-risk pregnancy criteria.
