New Hire Onboarding

Welcome to Nebraska Methodist Health System, the meaning of care. We care and know you care too, especially about the organization you choose to work for. That is why we are thrilled you chose us.

As a new employee, this site provides you with important employment information. Included is what you need for your pre-employment appointment, maps, benefit information, uniform and pay schedule. If you have questions or require assistance, please call (402) 354-8813.

 

  • The following information outlines what to expect and bring with you to the appointment. Please note that missing items at your appointment may delay your start date.

    If you are under the age of 18, you must have a parent or guardian available in person or via phone at the time of the appointment for consent of drug screening test. You must also have the second page of the DHHS Registry form printed. Both your signature and your parent or guardian's signature must be notarized by a notary public.  We have a notary public available on site if your parent or guardian comes to your appointment.

    What to Bring to Appointment

    1. Immunization Records
    2. Identification Documents for I-9 Employment Eligibility Form
      • List of Acceptable Documents You may present one selection from List A or a combination of one selection from List B and one selection from List C.
    3. Documentation for bank account, which is required for employment (voided check, direct deposit form or letter from bank).  
    4. Certifications and Education documentation for verification (if instructed by the HR Representative)
    5. Please complete all employment forms prior to your appointment

    Overview

    You have 30 days from your hire date to enroll in benefits.  The benefits you elect will be effective on the first day of the next month from your start date.

    If you have benefit questions, please call the Methodist Service Center at (402) 354-2280.

    A benefits representative will reach out to you approximately 7-10 days after your first day.  If you would like to schedule an appointment sooner, please call the Methodist Service Center, or schedule appointment online or scan the QR code below with your phone. Please do not schedule a meeting prior to your first day of employment.

    Section 1: Employees Scheduled 20 or More Hours per Week

    The following documents include additional information related to specific benefits.   

    Section 2: Employees Scheduled 16 to 19 Hours Per Week

    • Paid Time Off (PTO)
    • Methodist 401K Plan
      • Employees are automatically enrolled for a 3% paycheck deduction unless participation is declined. Look for a packet emailed to your work email account following your first paycheck.

    Section 3: Information for Employees with No Scheduled Hours

    As a casual employee with no regularly scheduled hours, you are eligible for the following benefit:

    • Methodist 401K Plan
      • Employees are automatically enrolled for a 3% paycheck deduction unless participation is declined. Look for a packet emailed to your work email account following your first paycheck.

    Methodist Health System still encourages COVID-19 vaccination though CMS no longer requires it for healthcare workers. We are still required to document vaccination status so if you’ve received a COVID-19 vaccination, please upload a copy to ReadySet along with your other immunizations.
