In an effort to improve efficiencies, create a better user experience for employees and provide more robust reporting platforms, Methodist Health System will be transitioning to Workday, with implementation slated for January 2023.

Work is already underway on the project – Elevate 2023 – and it’s being championed by Jeff Francis, Paula Pittman and Kent Sona of the senior leadership team.

Elevate 2023 will impact human resources, finance, payroll and supply chain, and it’ll replace the current Lawson system, which was implemented by the health system in 2001.

To be clear, Workday will NOT replace Kronos or Strata.

Why the switch?

Workday will allow the health system to implement automated/standardized processes across departments. It’ll provide real-time data with drill-down capabilities, which is integral in the ever-changing health care environment.

In addition, Workday is based on the most current technology in the market for employees and leaders, including smartphone capabilities.

It’ll provide numerous features and functions, including:

  • Real-time dashboards
  • An enhanced platform for employee hiring/transfer
  • A more modern approach to employee management (talent reviews/staff development)
  • An Amazon-like shopping experience for central supply users
  • Automatic inventory replenishment and recommended inventory levels

Much work lies ahead, and we thank everyone across the health system who’s pledged their commitment toward Elevate 2023. Regular communications will be shared as the project progresses.

If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Paula Pittman, Jeff Francis or Kent Sona.
