More on the CI Leader Education Series

The CI Leader Education series focuses on a Lean Management System concept with an emphasis on principles and behaviors required for a culture of continuous improvement. The series’ goal is for participants to gain practical strategies to improve communication, collaboration and problem-solving as a team. Other team benefits include finding ways to save time for frontline staff members so that they can devote more time to caregiving, and increasing employee engagement.

At the conclusion of the six-session series, graduates are issued a digital badge, shown above, to show off their accomplishment.

Over 75 Series Graduates

The series’ first cohort, which included nine Methodist Fremont Health leaders, completed the course in January 2022. Since then, members of the Methodist Fremont Health Quality Department (Bev Johnson and Sara Vech) have taken on the facilitation duties at the hospital. CI Leader Education has also spread to other parts of the health system. Among them: Integrated Services, including Vice President Bill Vobejda and his leadership team.

To date, approximately 80 people across the health system have completed the education series.

Upcoming Cohorts and How to Enroll

The Operational Innovation team has begun planning sessions for 2024. Class dates and locations are tailored to meet the needs of participants.

All course facilitators are employed by Methodist, so there is minimal cost to attend (a small fee for an Emergenetics profile and a recommended book).

Leaders interested having their staff members join a course should contact Operational Innovation at @email or reach out directly to Maureen Holstein.
