Reminder to complete a preventive exam by Aug. 31 to secure your health insurance wellness incentive

Don’t underestimate the power of a yearly wellness visit with your primary care provider (PCP). Not only is this a key component of staying on top of your health and well-being, but we'll also reward you for doing so! The deadline of Aug. 31 is rapidly approaching. If you haven’t already had a preventive visit – schedule one today!
Securing the wellness incentive for 2025
Preventive visit, wellness exam, routine exam, annual physical – all of these refer to the same thing: a yearly check-in with a doctor to stay on top of your health. Methodist Health System health care plan participants are reminded to receive an annual or routine preventive exam by their primary care provider or gynecologist between Sept. 1, 2023 and Aug. 31, 2024 to receive the wellness incentive in 2025.
Getting a preventive exam results in the following premium savings:

| Both | $700 | $58.33 | $29.17 |
New employees are also eligible for these savings if they are on the Methodist health plan by Aug. 1. If you had a preventive exam before joining Methodist, you can submit an explanation of benefits (EOB) by Aug. 31.
