Becky Jizba, MSN, MBA, RN, NE-BC, service executive for Patient Care Administration at Methodist Hospital, has been recognized as an emerging nurse leader and awarded the 2021 Nebraska Action Coalition 40 Under 40 Award.

The 40 Under 40 Award recognizes nurses who significantly or uniquely contribute to leadership within the nursing profession through clinical practice, education and teaching, administrative leadership, research, writing/publishing, policy involvement/self-governance, and/or health care innovation.

Jizba has been with Methodist Hospital for over 10 years. She has worked as a staff nurse and nurse coordinator on the oncology unit, a naval nurse officer with the U.S. Navy, and service leader for the Acute Care for Elders (ACE) unit.

During her time at Methodist, Jizba has used evidence-based research to implement protocols that have improved patient outcomes and nurse satisfaction, and she has frequently been recognized for outstanding achievement in nursing and leadership.
