Congratulations to Ashley Wroblewski, BSN, RN, CCRN, a nurse coordinator on the Cardiovascular Surgery Unit at Methodist Hospital, for being honored with The DAISY Nurse Leader Award. She was nominated by fellow nurse coordinator Tim Hoarty, MSN, RN, who wrote:

“She is among the best cores in the building – compassionate, clinically competent in high-intensity situations and always supportive of her team. She is the role model that the rest of the cores and experienced nurses on 9 North look up to and strive to emulate. She is an amazing bedside nurse and an even better leader, always remaining calm and knowing what to do in a variety of challenging situations. The cardiac surgery recovery process requires 9N nurses to be well trained in a variety of ICU therapies, to be quick on their feet and think critically, and to be adaptable to multiple unique patient-specific situations. Ashley is the nurse and core any one of us would want on duty if our loved one were to go through open-heart surgery. She is trusted by providers, peers and patients/families alike. There are few who act with the professionalism that Ashley exhibits daily, and I am very proud to work alongside her.”
