Kelly Meisinger honored with Making a Difference Award

The monthly Making a Difference Award honors a preceptor who makes an impact on a new nurse training at Methodist Hospital or Methodist Women’s Hospital. While completing an evaluation of their preceptor, each new nurse has the opportunity to submit a nomination for the Making a Difference Award.

The award was inspired by the tale of the starfish, which emphasizes how even one simple act can make a difference for someone else.

Kelly Meisinger, BSN, RN, is the first preceptor to be honored with the Making a Difference Award. She was nominated by Nicole Brady-Hernandez, RN, who wrote:

“Kelly was helpful and supportive at all times. She guided me through new processes and taught me new processes. I appreciate the time she spent with me, and I look forward to being on my own!”

Congratulations, Kelly! Your foundation of clinical excellence, teaching methods, enthusiasm, encouragement and support made a difference. Thank you for your commitment and dedication to training new Methodist nurses!
