Sue Rogers, nurse coordinator for the Mother/Baby Unit, is the Methodist Women's Hospital Employee of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2024.

The Nebraska Methodist College graduate was nominated by a colleague, who wrote:

"Sue is always a team player. She constantly is going above and beyond to make sure everyone's needs on the floor are met – both staff and patients. She demands excellence in her own work for herself, and she always sets a high standard of care for everyone she works with. She will play any and every role on the unit to help out in any way she can. She comes in on her days off to help fill holes on the unit. She is compassionate with her staff by bringing them food every week she works and with patients by making sure every baby that is admitted to the floor on her shift is well cared for when they arrive. She has such great communication and integrity with everyone involved on the health care team. She is an amazing resource for anyone on the unit, whether she is on the floor as a staff nurse or in her role as core. It has been a privilege to be able to work with and learn alongside her over the years."

Congratulations, Sue, on being selected as the Methodist Women's Hospital Employee of the Quarter!

The Methodist Women's Hospital Employee of the Quarter award program began in the first quarter of 2013. Award nominations may be submitted by physicians, supervisors, coworkers and staff. Judging is based on how candidates embody the mission and core values of Methodist Women’s Hospital: patient focus, integrity, excellence, learning, compassion, teamwork and respect.

Employee of the Quarter award winners are automatically considered for the Caring Kind Employee of the Year award, as are Methodist Hospital's Employees of the Month.

To nominate a fellow employee for the Employee of the Quarter award, submit a completed application form to Administration. Each nomination is kept on file for review for four quarters. The "Employee of the Quarter - MWH" application form can be accessed here.
