Changes Coming to BLS Classes at Nebraska Methodist College

Beginning Feb. 1, 2024, American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification classes will be combined into one convenient course through Nebraska Methodist College’s Professional Development Department.

Currently, two class options exist: Health Care Provider BLS Initial and Health Care Provider BLS Renewal. With the change in February, all staff members will enroll for the new Health Care Provider BLS class.

BLS classes will continue to be free for Methodist employees and students.

The change will not affect ACLS and PALS classes. A current BLS certification will still be required for those renewals and initial courses. The change also will not affect BLS/ACLS Combo classes. A current BLS certification will still be required for those renewals.
