Congratulations to Nancy De Santiago, BSN, RN, a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner at Methodist Hospital, for being honored with The DAISY Award! She was nominated by a patient’s sister, who wrote:
“My sister went through an extremely traumatic event, and Nancy was so compassionate, kind, patient and gentle with her. She made my sister feel extremely comfortable after the most uncomfortable moment in her life. She truly cared about my sister and what she had to say. Nancy deeply understands The Meaning of Care by the care she provided for my sister. I feel like Nancy was the sister there to comfort her when I couldn't be there. It truly means so much to me that Nancy was working that night. God sent an angel to care for my sister.”
