Congratulations to Ann Holtz, BSN, RN, ONC, a care coordinator at Methodist Fremont Health, for being honored with The DAISY Award! Ann was nominated by a patient's daughter. The nomination included the following:

“Ann Holtz was the miracle we needed to enter our Mom’s room when my eight siblings and myself found out that my 89-year-old (very independent) mother would not be returning to her home and would need a senior care facility upon being released from Methodist Fremont Health. … Most memory care facilities waiting lists are six to nine months. Ann helped us get it done in six days. … Until you are faced with this situation, you don’t realize how critical it is to have someone as valuable as Ann in your corner. Her willingness to help, stay calm and wear a smile through it all was calming, comforting and encouraging to each of us. Our family is so grateful to her for what she did for our mother. … She is a selfless servant, and I hope that her kindness will be returned to her tenfold.”
