Maintaining life-giving supplies of blood is critical for our hospital, region and nation. That's why Methodist employees are encouraged to participate in a blood drive, sponsored by the Nebraska Community Blood Bank, on Thursday, Sept. 8, at the 825 Building.

This simple act can be life-changing, as the Younger family will attest. Their twin boys, Cole and James, underwent numerous surgeries and blood transfusions after being born prematurely.

“They had so many challenges those first few months of life," said their father, Erik. "It was good to know that blood was available so we didn’t have to worry about that too.”

Read their story here.
