Give Blood, Save Lives: Register Now for the Sept. 8 Blood Drive at the 825 BuildingPublished: Aug. 25, 2022
Maintaining life-giving supplies of blood is critical for our hospital, region and nation. That's why Methodist employees are encouraged to participate in a blood drive, sponsored by the Nebraska Community Blood Bank, on Thursday, Sept. 8, at the 825 Building.
This simple act can be life-changing, as the Younger family will attest. Their twin boys, Cole and James, underwent numerous surgeries and blood transfusions after being born prematurely.
“They had so many challenges those first few months of life," said their father, Erik. "It was good to know that blood was available so we didn’t have to worry about that too.”
Blood Drive Information
The Nebraska Community Blood Bank says it is in urgent need of O-negative, A-positive and B-negative blood.
The blood drive will be from 7 a.m. to noon in the bloodmobile on the north side of the building.
Appointments are required. No fasting is needed. Plan to allow approximately one hour for the donation process. Participation is considered paid time if it occurs during a scheduled work day. A free lunch coupon will be provided once your donation is complete. Save time by completing your health history questionnaire online the day of your donation at ncbb.org/idonate.
