Shine Award Winner

Skye Frain

Skye Frain, a nursing assistant on the Acute Care for Elders Unit at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital, has been honored with the Shine Award.

Frain's nomination from registered nurses Lisa Clark and Rob Leonard is below:

"Skye is always happy to help and in good spirits. She regularly goes out of her way to help out other teammates and patients. Skye works as a secretary and an aide on our floor. She combines her knowledge from both roles. Her work ethic and warm personality help her be a patient and staff favorite. Skye is a strong asset to our floor and Jennie Edmundson. We are lucky to have her."

"Skye is always going above and beyond with our patients. It does not matter if it is her assignment or someone else’s; she is always willing to help. I had a patient that was mentally challenged and needed help watching his hand while I gave a shot. She was right there to help and assist as needed to make this happen. This is not the first or last time she has been there to help me and other nurses."

Congratulations, Skye, on receiving the Shine Award. We thank you for all your hard work to show patients and their families The Meaning of Care.
