Maintaining life-giving supplies of blood is critical for our hospital, region and nation. That's why Methodist Health System is partnering with the Nebraska Community Blood Bank for a donor drive during the month of March.

For each blood donation made at the Omaha donor center (12100 Pacific St.) during the month of March, the Nebraska Community Blood Bank will donate food to Food Bank for the Heartland to help combat food insecurity in the Omaha metro area.

Appointments are recommended. To register for the blood drive, call (402) 486-9414 or visit the donor portal on the Nebraska Community Blood Bank website.

Please mention that you are a Methodist Health System employee when scheduling.

Donors are required to bring a photo ID, encouraged to eat before donating and must be free of cold or flu symptoms for 72 hours prior to donating. Plan to allow approximately one hour for the donation process.

For answers to specific questions about your eligibility to donate or help registering, call (402) 486-9414.
