Quit 'Cold Turkey' During Great American Smokeout Events Nov. 17-18

As part of the Great American Smokeout, Methodist facilities will host informational tables providing resources on how you or your loved ones can quit smoking, vaping and chewing tobacco.

These events are free and open to the public.

 

Great American Smokeout Information

Where: A representative will be visiting Methodist Hospital, Methodist Women’s Hospital, Methodist Fremont Health and Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital cafeterias as well as Shared Services.

When: Nov. 18 from noon to 1 p.m. at hospital locations; evening of Nov. 17 and during the day on Nov. 18 at Shared Services

What: Resources from National Quitlines and the American Cancer Society will be available, as well as information on:

  • The effects of tobacco on the body (Download materials here.)
  • The "true cost" of smoking (Download materials here.)
  • Resources to quit smoking (Download materials here and here.)

Food service will be offering “Cold Turkey” wrap sandwiches as a part of the menu, and visitors of the table spaces can enter a drawing to win a free turkey!
