Each semester, faculty and students at Nebraska Methodist College (NMC) have the opportunity to recognize a Methodist Hospital nursing unit for exceling in the following ways:

  • Providing opportunities for learning
  • Being receptive and helpful to faculty and students
  • Demonstrating excellence

For the fall 2021 semester, the Acute Care for Elders (ACE) unit on 7 South was nominated and honored. The ACE unit was nominated by Cheryl Bouckaert, assistant professor of nursing and RN-BSN program coordinator at NMC.

Here's what Deborah Conley, service executive for Patient Care Administration, said: "One of the things I like best about this is that these nursing students get excellent geriatric nursing experience with 7 South staff who love to care for this population."

ACE unit staff members were presented a certificate and celebratory treats on Oct. 28. Congratulations, and thank you for your commitment to education!
