At Methodist Health System, we expect fair, honest and ethical behavior in every activity under all circumstances. As part of holding ourselves to this standard, we want to create an environment where employees feel empowered to say something if they encounter a workplace issue – including compliance and code of conduct concerns. As a Methodist employee, it’s important that you’re aware of the anonymous reporting resources available to you.

What Is an Anonymous Compliance Reporting Hotline?

An anonymous hotline is a risk-free way for our employees to freely report compliance or code of conduct concerns. This hotline allows employees to confidentially report a host of inappropriate activities they may witness or personally experience, such as discrimination, harassment, conflicts of interest and suspected fraudulent activity. All reports are assessed, investigated and handled on a strictly confidential basis.

Why Is a Reporting Hotline Important?

A reporting hotline is a best practice that allows us to monitor our business through the eyes of our employees and leads to a higher level of integrity and moral conduct. It also allows us to identify potentially harmful issues early and prevent unacceptable behavior. A hotline allows us to meet regulatory compliance obligations as well as mitigate business risks.

How Does Methodist Health System Detect Occurrences?

Methodist partners with Lighthouse, a third-party vendor, which assures our employees’ complete confidence. The comprehensive hotline is available 24/7/365 via toll-free access, web reporting, mobile app, email and fax.

Learn more about Lighthouse and anonymous reporting by clicking here. Or, on the NMHS intranet, go to Resources > Compliance. Reports may also be made anonymously by calling the MHS Compliance Reporting Hotline at 877-640-0005 (English) or 800-216-1288 (Spanish), or electronically by clicking "MHS Compliance Reporting Link" on intranet Compliance page referenced above.
