The Shine Award for Nursing Assistants honors these staff members for the special role they play in patient care at Methodist Hospital and Methodist Women's Hospital. Their Supporting Hands assist our nurses In achieving Nursing Excellence and quality patient outcomes.

Sherry Chandler
Sherry Chandler, a nursing assistant who works nights on 2B at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital, has been honored with the Shine Award.
Her nomination, from an anonymous patient, read:
"Sherry was very caring and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She was always right there when I needed her. She showed extra attention to the pain in my legs and ensured that I was comfortable at all times while she constantly was checking on me throughout the night.”
