Methodist Golf Classic Is Aug. 21Published: Aug. 1, 2018
The 11th Annual Methodist Golf Classic, presented by the Methodist Volunteers In Partnership (VIP), is set for Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Tiburon Golf Club, 10302 S. 168th Street, Omaha.
Check-in for the 4-person scramble begins at 10:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m.
All funds raised from the golf tournament will go toward the expansion and renovation of the Methodist Hospital Emergency Department.
This important project, planned to start next year, will be the first structural remodel for the Emergency Department since 1995. The result will mean more space, less waiting and easier access for our patients and their families. It will double the number of patient rooms, increase privacy, add a fast track triage area and include a specialized space for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and sex trafficking. With 20 percent growth in just five years, the need to expand and renovate is vital.

Reservations are limited, with entries honored by order of receipt of payment. Registration deadline is Friday, Aug. 10. Participants will receive 18 holes of golf, cart, box lunch and buffet dinner. Dinner and announcement of prizes and raffle winners begins at 5 p.m.

- Men's, women's and mixed teams' prizes
Featured this year is a raffle for three cash prizes in the amounts of $1,000, $1,000 and $500. Tickets may be purchased now through Aug. 20 at the Methodist Hospital Gift Shop and Methodist Women’s Hospital Gift Shop, and at the Tiburon Golf Club on the day of the tournament.
