Record Retention and Destruction Policy Updated

Thanks to the dedication and hard work of staff throughout our health system, the new Record Retention and Destruction policy is complete and live on the intranet.

The policy now contains detailed information on: 1) record retrieval and destruction process; 2) E-forms to request retrieval and destruction; 3) storage supplies and process; and 4) record retention. 

Your Next Steps:

  1. Please review policy with staff in charge of records
  2. Identify onsite & offsite records needing new destruction dates
  3. Work with Shared to re-label stored boxes with new dates
  4. Purge, purge, purge!
  5. Reminder: Shared Services is our only warehouse/repository for records.
