Peter Marop - Methodist Women's Hospital Employee of the QuarterPublished: April 11, 2018
Peter Marop, an Environmental Services Cleaning Technician, is the Methodist Women’s Hospital Employee of the Quarter for 2nd Quarter 2018. He was honored at a recognition ceremony on March 13.
Peter was nominated for the honor by his coworkers who describe him as “one of the happiest people around.”
An employee at the hospital for nearly seven years, Peter’s teammates say he is the ultimate team player.
“Peter is a shining example of integrity, excellence, learning, compassion, teamwork and respect,” wrote one coworker in a nomination letter. “Peter will step up and help out any way he can. He consistently goes around looking for ways he can help. Even in those situations, no matter how tired he is (Peter also previously worked days as a dishwasher in food service and overnight in EVS on weekends), he always has the most positive attitude.”
Peter’s positivity is apparent to all those he meets – he greets everyone with a hug or handshake and a smile.
“I think everyone should be like him and it would make the world a better place!”
The Methodist Women's Hospital Employee of the Quarter award program began in the first quarter of 2013. Award nominations may be submitted by physicians, supervisors, coworkers and staff. Judging is based on how candidates embody the mission and core values of Methodist Women’s Hospital: patient focus, integrity, excellence, learning, compassion, teamwork and respect.
All employees and staff at MWH are eligible to receive the Employee of the Quarter award. Employee of the Quarter award winners are automatically considered for the Caring Kind Employee of the Year award, as are Methodist Hospital's Employees of the Month.
To nominate a fellow employee for the Employee of the Quarter award, submit a completed application form to Administration. Each nomination is kept on file for review for two quarters.
