Information Technology Announcement - Health System Cerner Access Policy

Methodist Health System has implemented a policy to standardize access to Cerner effective February 7, 2018.  

We are maintaining access to Cerner for our employees and providers involved in patient care in our Health System.  For others, our preferred method to view Methodist records is through NeHii.

This policy will improve security and help contain costs related to our EMR. Please see the attached policy for specific details.  

A couple of policy items to note:

  1. If you do not log into the system for 90 days, your account will be deactivated, but can be quickly reactivated by the IT Service Desk.
  2. Users will only have one user name, so if you currently have two usernames those will be consolidated into one.  Those affected by this change will be communicated to prior.
