Methodist is once again a proud presenting sponsor of the KETV 7 Can Help Kids/Salvation Army Back-to-School Backpack Program.  Donate new backpacks and school supplies to the blue collection barrels at MHS hospitals, metro-area MPC Clinics, MHS Corporate and Nebraska Methodist College through August 5.

This program collects donations of backpacks and other school supplies from  Metro-area businesses and individuals for distribution to needy children in our community. Last year, with your help, we set a new program record, distributing 13,000+ backpacks.

Promotional ads that list Methodist locations as collection sites began airing on KETV on July 1. On Friday, August 5, KETV will host a live remote broadcast from the lobby of Methodist Women's Hospital encouraging people to donate. Here is an advance preview of a promotional ad from KETV:

NEW This Year: Send Us Your School Supply Selfies

Send us photos of your staff with your drop-off barrels and supplies. We will share the best ones on social media. Send to amy.anderson@nmhs.org

Help Fill the Blue Barrels

Blue collection barrels were placed at all three Methodist hospitals and at Metro-area Methodist Physicians Clinics (all MPC locations except Glenwood, Louisville, Malvern, Red Oak and Valley) starting the week of June 27. At the main Methodist Hospital campus, parking valet staff will gladly accept curbside school supply donations and place those in the collection barrels so drivers need not take the time park and carry donations into the hospital.

Barrels were also being placed at the MHS Corporate cafeteria at 8511 W. Dodge Road and in the lobby of the Clark Center at Nebraska Methodist College - The Josie Harper Campus at 720 N. 87th Street.
