BREATH: Best - Respect - Excellence - Achiever - Teamwork - Honorable

The Methodist Health System Respiratory Department has established a BREATH award to recognize the outstanding respiratory therapists who provide exemplary care and treatment for patients with respiratory illnesses.

This award honors the unsung heroes in the respiratory profession who understand that each breath matters. People living with life-threatening pulmonary illnesses feel profound appreciation for the health care providers who allow them to “breathe easy.”

The BREATH Award celebrates a key member of that team: the outstanding respiratory therapist. This exemplary, peer-nominated professional sees the “person” instead of the “patient,” and he or she is committed to the belief that every breath matters.

Congratulations go to Jessie Rohwer, RRT, at Methodist Hospital, the September 2015 BREATH Award winner.

At Methodist Hospital, the BREATH Award is given quarterly. At Methodist Women's Hospital and Methodist Jennie Edmundson, the BREATH Award is given semiannually.
